Description

We know that every young person faces challenges from time to time. When those challenges begin to affect behavior at school, at home, or in the community, it can feel overwhelming for families to know where to turn.

That’s why we’d like to share a free community resource with you: The Anchor New Orleans Youth Assessment Center (NOYAC), located at The Family Center of Hope – Washington Campus.

What NOYAC Does:

  • Works with youth ages 10–17 who may be struggling with behavior, family changes, grief, or other challenges.

  • Provides a safe, supportive place where your child’s needs are assessed and addressed.

  • Connects families to the right community services—such as counseling, food or housing support, and youth programs.

  • Focuses on prevention and early intervention, not punishment.

If your child is having difficulties such as:

  • Fighting (non-gang related)

  • Defiant or oppositional behavior

  • Family conflict or instability

  • Mental health or substance concerns

  • Grief or loss

  • Food or housing insecurity

The Anchor - NOYAC may be able to help.

How to Connect: You can reach NOYAC directly at 504-766-7564 or Referrals@fchno.org. Our center is located at: 4137 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70125.
