About:
The Anchor - New Orleans Youth Assessment Center (NOYAC’s) plan is to provide prevention and early intervention support.
Who We Serve:
Youth ages 10–17 in New Orleans who may be struggling with behaviors or challenges that place them at risk of juvenile justice involvement.
What We Do:
Instead of punishment, NOYAC provides prevention and early intervention support through:
Comprehensive youth assessments
Case management
Referrals to behavioral health, housing, food, grief support, and other community services
We Help With:
Fighting (non-gang related)
Oppositional or defiant behavior
Family conflict/domestic concerns
Grief and loss
Mental health or substance use concerns
Housing or food insecurity
Family financial struggles impacting school
Our Mission:
To be a single point of contact for youth and families, connecting them with the resources they need to build stability, reduce system involvement, and thrive.
How to Refer:
Schools, families, law enforcement, and community members can refer a youth directly by calling 504-766-7564 or emailing referrals@fchno.org
