Description
The Sewerage and Water Board New Orleans and Jefferson Parish Department of Environmental Affairs is hosting a workshop for teaching water quality and sewage infrastructure. You will also get referred to tour a real water quality facility and learn how to bring your students on field trips of their own.
Learn how to educate students about the wastewater treatment process using a scientific approach in an effort to increase awareness about water pollution and it's impact on the environment. Representatives from the Department of Environmental Affairs and SWBNO will assist teachers with planning and scheduling the Sewer Science program during the school year.
STEM Library Lab fosters high-quality active learning by providing teachers and students with access to equipment and support to drive student success. We envision students in every classroom gaining exposure to quality educational experiences that prepare them for a 21st Century future. We run a variety of programs and services geared to ensure teachers have the tools they need to lead productive classrooms.
