Description
Don't be intimidated by sewing! Come and learn the basics to get you started in our sewing studio. Even if you have never sewn before, our kind and knowledgeable instructors will walk you through all of the basics of getting started. This is also a great refresher class for those who want to kickstart their sewing passion. As you complete a simple project, all of your sewing related questions will be answered to help you feel like a confident beginner.
Over the course of the two weeks you will learn:
The basics of sewing machine operation like threading the needle and bobbin (and what that means!)
What stitches to use and when
Basic construction techniques
ricRACK combines creative skill building with environmental responsibility by offering meaningful opportunities to youth and adults to re-use donated clothing, textiles, and craft materials. This mission builds on increased public and industry awareness of sustainability and waste reduction within the fashion industry.
