Description
Energy Smart is a program of New Orleans City Council, committed to helping the people of New Orleans lower their energy bills permanently. We bring hands-on, minds-on education into 6th grade and 10th grade classes to help young people become leaders in the shift to a more energy efficient New Orleans. Each student goes home with an Energy Efficiency Starter Kit to help them get started on their journey immediately.
Energy Wise
Building community power through energy education. While we serve all Louisianans, we focus on underserved communities, providing residential energy retrofits for tenants, low income families, homes with poor solar potential, and people with moderate-to-low credit scores. Through DIY workshops, presentations to community groups, and building retrofits at schools, churches and nonprofits, we are transforming the energy profile of Louisiana.
